The Summer Days of Music & Wine Tour

The year 2012 marks the 800^th anniversary of the formation of Leipzig’s Thomanerchor (St. Thomas Boys‘ Choir) which was directed by the great composer, Johann Sebastian Bach between 1723 and 1750.

To celebrate this composer’s outstanding contribution to classical and sacred music we begin this tour in Leipzig, a city with many impressive music associations, including Bach, Telemann, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Wagner & Mahler.  It then follows an exciting course of Music & Wine experiences through Germany, Austria & Hungary to a spectacular performance of Bizet’s grand opera, Carmen at the Ancient Roman Quarry
